Farrier’s Wife Belly Salve® for horses and ponies is a soothing blend of natural moisturizers and essential oils designed to help treat fly bite dermatitis (sweet itch), summer itch, summer sores, ear mites and minor wounds while detracting flies and other insects. This unique anti-itch formula soothes and cools the skin, allowing open sores and wounds to heal and promoting hair regrowth at the sites of wounds and dermatitis.
Perfect in the presence of ear mites and no-see-ums, flies and biting flies, Farrier’s Wife Belly Salve contains only all-natural ingredients, including safflower oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, lecithin and the essential oils of neem seed, tea tree, rosemary, sweet basil, peppermint, eucalyptus, geranium, andiroba.
To apply: rub on the horse’s face, ears, muzzle legs, midline and dock to treat fly bite dermatitis (sweet itch), scratches, cuts, scrapes and itchy spots. In the case of deep puncture wounds or serious burns, consult a veterinarian.
If redness, irritation or swelling persists or increases, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian. Not recommended for use on lactating mares. Keep away from eyes.
