The MS1 Pro is a groundbreaking jockey skull and the first of its kind to incorporate MIPS technology. No other skull has incorporated the MIPS technology before, so with the three certifications to three international equestrian standards (SEI certification to ASTM F1163-15, Kitemarks to VG1 01-040 2014-12 and PAS015:2011, and a CE mark to VG1 01-040 2014-12), riders can feel truly protected as they ride the gallops or simply hack out. The ABS outer shell offers a deep fit made secure with the unique padded harness. Ten ventilation slots and removable headband add to the functionality of this new skull.

**Helmet Notice, Disclaimer & Warning All equestrian sports are inherently dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury or death. True innovation in style and technology makes Halo a real statement in the show ring.
Comfort is prioritized with the unique 360° ventilation system under the halo ring and luxury padding.
The unique Halo lattice harness has been designed to grip the occipital bone at the base of the skull, and self-adjusts to give a snug and secure fit for your ride.
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is an additional brain protection system.
The MIPS system was invented in 1996 in Sweden by Hans von Holst, a neurosurgeon and Peter Halldin, a researcher from the Royal Institute of Technology.
MIPS is designed to add protection against rotational motion (or kinematics) transmitted to the brain from angled impacts to the head, which is how most riders fall.
Rotational motion is a combination of rotational energy (angular velocity) and rotational forces from angular acceleration that both affect the brain and increase the risk for minor and severe brain injuries.
MIPS’ added protection system has been proven to reduce rotational motion when implemented in a helmet by redirecting energies and forces otherwise transmitted to the brain.
Charles Owen has embraced MIPS technology as a way to ‘top up’ the safety of some of their already triple-tested, triple-certified riding helmets.
The adoption of MIPS provides further protection to reduce brain shear in riding accidents involving falls at speed.
Three international safety standards (including PAS015) combined with MIPS technology only add to the confidence you will feel when riding in your Halo.
