Preparing for Patriotic Events - Our Top Recommended Products

Summer is in full swing, and Independence Day is quickly approaching. If you are planning to take your horse to a parade, exhibition, or another event during the 4th of July, you have likely been preparing for quite a while and looking for a fun way to tie in some patriotic flair.

Whether you are looking for flashy parade attire or something a bit more subtle, we’ve created a list of some fun ways to show your patriotism this year.

Patriotic Attire for You

Patriotic Cowboy Boots.

It’s hard to go wrong with a classic, distressed cowboy boot. The Roper American Beauty Cowboy boot is comfortable enough to walk around in and the perfect style for parade riding. This boot features a suede American flag and a padded insole for comfort. These boots are easily paired with jeans or shorts (if you aren’t riding!). You’ll love the versatility of these boots, and we bet you’ll be wearing them long after the 4th of July events.

American flag hat.

Shade your eyes and protect your skin from the sun with this stylish Liberty Roper hat. This hat features a flex-fit style for comfort and is made from breathable material to keep your head cool during the summer heat. Whether you are barbequing in the backyard, watching a parade, or preparing to participate in a holiday event, this hat is an easy, versatile option.

Parade Extras for Your Horse

Nothing says patriotism like a blingy red, white, and blue browband. Switch out your training browband with this sparkly version and show off your USA pride. This elegant browband features tiny crystals in a classic browband style and comes in both black and brown options to seamlessly match your bridle.

Bottle of coat shine.

After spending hours preparing your horse for the parade, top off your work with this coat shine.

Unlike other coat shine products, this one doesn’t dry out the coat or make it greasy or sticky, which is perfect for hot parade temperatures. Simply apply this spray after your horse dries from their bath, and you’ll add sparkle for up to 7 days!

Container of Silverado Face Glo.

Face Glo is another easy way to add some sparkle to your horse during an event. While this is often used in the show ring, it has the same benefits for a parade. Apply this to your horse’s face, ears, muzzle, mane, and tail to add some extra shine. This brand features sun blockers to help protect your horse’s skin from sunburn and their hair from sun bleaching.

If you are concerned about sun exposure to other sensitive skin areas, make sure to apply sunscreen to your horse before the event. Don’t forget to put sunscreen on your exposed skin, too!

Braid bling in a mesh like bag.

It’s time to up your braiding game; skip the boring mane and tail braids this year and add some bling with these rhinestone braiding bands! These bands will quickly become your favorite horse accessory. The reusable bands come in an adorable drawstring bag to keep them safe when not in use.
